When you hear Goldsheep, you think of vibrant pop art leggings that make you smile. Leggings like Goldsheep’s Avocado and Lucky Stripe prints allow your inner 10-year old to clap and squeal with delight, while helping you express your individuality and not take yourself too seriously as an adult. We had the chance to chat with Keri Wilson, founder and designer for the tongue-in-chic leggings we love:
How did the brand get its start?
I started GOLDSHEEP while living in NYC working in the fashion industry. Every day walking to work I would see thousands of legs in all black. I would also see the amazing street art and thought it would be so cool to transfer the art onto peoples legs.
What is it about Goldsheep that sets you apart from the other activewear brands out there?
Each piece is handmade to order which is super rare in our industry. I also create each print from scratch inside our shop in Orange County. I think the most important part about GOLDSHEEP is that we don’t sit down and say what is going to make us money when we are getting ready for new designs. We sit down and think what is going to make people happy. What is going to bring out people’s inner GOLDSHEEP. 🙂
We love your bold, trendy prints. How do you find sources of inspiration for your designs?
I think of what I love and what makes people smile. Truly everything is an inspiration for GOLDSHEEP. Especially the things in life that make you smile.
Any styling tips on how to rock your leggings from the studio to the street?
I wear GOLDSHEEP 24/7, literally. Best advice is to wear them to work out and then throw on a cute black top with them and a leather jacket and sneaks or sandals and you are good to go for the day. I wear GOLDSHEEP even to black tie events with heels and a silk top and a blazer. 🙂
What pieces have gotten the most buzz?
Our Champagne legging is for sure a favorite as well as the Double Rainbow. It’s the super, fun, happy prints that do the best for GOLDSHEEP. I like to think of GOLDSHEEP as a happy pop art company like Andy Warhol on leggings. 🙂
